Trafalgar Releasing has announced an investment in event cinema specialists, More2Screen to help enable their growth plans.

Trafalgar Releasing Chair, Lyn Goleby has said on the partnership: “More2Screen has been in the vanguard of the development of Event Cinema. Our investment in their company will bring further strength to the sector. We are very much looking forward to working together with Christine and her team to continue to build the leading Event Cinema business in the UK.”

With over 12 years’ experience, More2Screen have developed long-term partnerships with screening venues and content owners around the world. They bring a wide range of live and recorded cultural events to cinemas across the world, from rock and classical music concerts, to opera, theatre and ballet. Their clients include the Royal Opera House, Eagle Rock Entertainment, Warner Bros. Records, Berliner Philharmoniker and the British Museum.

More2Screen’s most recent release 42nd Street: The Musical starring Bonnie Langford, Tom Lister, Clare Halse and Philip Bertioli has so far achieved over £1m at the UK box office with more encores still to come. Other recent hits have included the Screen Award winning release of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, which was released in 483 cinemas across the UK and Ireland in July 2018. The event took over half a million pounds on the night and was #1 at the box office, achieving a total more than twice the amount of the number two film. The release has ended up surpassing £1m at the UK box office.
